what is “the case of the cursed cactus”?
The evening began with warm desert air, flickering lanterns and the promise of a tequila tasting unlike any other. guests gathered beneath the old arches of Hacienda de la Serpiente, where stories of bad luck and strange disappearances still lingered among the cactus gardens.
At the centre of the evening stood La Reina del Desierto — a rare and legendary bottle of añejo tequila, believed by some to carry a curse. lost for decades and recently rediscovered, the bottle had become the talk of collectors, distillers and anyone obsessed with old tequila legends.
But before the third tasting pour was finished, things began to feel wrong.
The tequila did not taste as expected. the flavour seemed softer than it should be. details about the bottle no longer matched the story surrounding it. and someone at the table appeared increasingly nervous every time another glass was poured.
Panic slowly turned into suspicion.
Was the bottle authentic? had someone secretly replaced the tequila? or was somebody using the legend of the cursed cactus to hide something far more deliberate?
With every round, more secrets begin to surface.
